The new state-of-the-art Boys & Girls Club - Life & Workforce Readiness Center for Teens and Young Adults (13 to 24 years) will address the critical need for comprehensive teen and young adult services, including providing paid internships and career development opportunities in a historically marginalized community.

Our goal is to address the critical need for comprehensive programs for teen and young adult growth, ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential and contribute positively to society. The new 10,304 square foot Boys & Girls Club - Life & Workforce Readiness Center for teens and young adults (13 to 24 years) will be strategically located next to the Boys & Girls Club—E.L. Jack and Monica Armstrong Youth Center (801 Niles Street, Bakersfield). The location and the design of the Life & Workforce Readiness Center will ensure easy accessibility and provide a dedicated and safe campus to serve at least 500 teenagers and young adults each year and maximize the impact of the Boys & Girls Club’s programming after-school and during out-of-school times.

What is Building for Tomorrow?

Building for Tomorrow is a staff giving campaign to support the broader capital campaign for the new Life & Workforce Readiness Center for Teens and Young Adults

Who can participate?

Building for Tomorrow is 100% voluntary and is designed for participation for all staff levels.  You decide how much you want to contribute.

Will I be recognized for my contribution?

Yes, if you choose. The new building is still in the design phase, so the exact method of recognition has not been finalized, but it will most likely be in the form of a plaque or donor wall.

What are my payment options?

Contributing to the Building for Tomorrow campaign is easy.  You can make a one-time payment via credit/debit card, check, cash, or various electronic wallet apps (inquire to see if your preferred app is supported). You can also choose to pay with recurring auto-pay via credit/debit card or ADP paycheck deduction.  Options are listed in the form.

Why does Building for Tomorrow matter?

Building for Tomorrow supports the broader capital campaign to build the new Life & Workforce Readiness Center and ensures the Club can grow, improve, and serve more youth. Before we ask the community to invest in us, we will invest in ourselves. Overall staff participation sends a powerful message, "We believe in what we do!"
