Help Kids Succeed
Dear Community Member
School is right around the corner
The start of a new school year is an essential time in a kid's life, but with soaring prices, it can be stressful for parents. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County is working to set Club members up for success this school year by ensuring they have the necessary supplies for the upcoming school year. Our Club families need extra assistance in these challenging times since many are worried more about basic needs than budgeting for school supplies. According to the National Retail Federation, families with children in elementary through high school plan to spend an average of $874.68 on clothing, shoes, school supplies, and electronics. An amount most low-income families cannot afford.
School supply donations are being accepted at two Club sites through August 1, 2025. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County will utilize any online monetary gifts to purchase additional school supplies.
